Boyle: Hibs will look to attack to keep lead in Greece
The winger said Hibs can't afford a battle against a 'physical' Asteras Tripolis side.
Winger Martin Boyle said Hibs will look to attack in Greece as the Premiership side attempt to keep their lead over Asteras Tripolis.
Neil Lennon's side produced a stirring second half showing at Easter Road as they came from two goals down at half-time to grab the advantage in the Europa League second round qualifier.
Asteras impressed in the opening stages as they strolled into a two-goal lead before crumbling under relentless home pressure last Thursday.
Boyle expects there to periods of the game once more in Greece when Hibs are under the cosh, but insisted they'll always hold the intention to press forward and score.
"I'm sure our normal game will just be to attack again," he said. "There will be parts of the game where we'll have to sit in but hopefully we can counter attack and nick a goal.
"The manager keeps saying don't let the hard work from last year go to waste so we've been working hard on shape all week.
"We're taking it very seriously."
Boyle believes Hibs' second half fightback came as a result of getting back to the fundamentals which saw Lennon's outfit finish fourth in Premiership.
Against a "big, physical" opponent, the 25-year-old insisted they must avoid a battle and instead focus on playing Tripolis off the park.
He added: "It was a game of two halves for us, second half we came out and played to our strengths.
"They are a big, physical side so it's important for us not to get in a battle.
"We need to get the ball down and play our game then hopefully come away with the victory."
