Martyn Waghorn may have exited Rangers on the cheap but there could be a bonus payment heading to Ibrox courtesy of the striker.

Waghorn's form since heading back to England has seen him become a signing target for several clubs but Derby County are believed to paying up to £8m for his services. That's good news for Rangers, who reportedly have a 10% sell-on clause from last summer's sale.

Talk of Waghorn's move has dragged on for a while but that's nothing compared to the John McGinn saga and it's now looking like there could be no resolution until January at the earliest.

Celtic have failed with three bids and there's talk they won't make a fourth. Neil Lennon said there's no need to sell and he's happy to keep the Scotland international. McGinn himself is reported to be content to wait and sign a pre-contract deal in January. This one could run and run.

Brendan Rodgers may still have a new face in his squad shortly though. Daniel Arzani is a target for the club and though Rodgers played it down, the attacker may bring his talent to Glasgow to be developed.

Elsewhere, Barry Douglas could be on the move to Leeds, while Chelsea have brought in 38-year old Robert Green in a surprise move. Wilfried Zaha may be leaving Crystal Palace and Jose Mourinho wants Harry Maguire.
