It seems Aberdeen have had enough of losing prize assets on the cheap.

The Pittodrie side have watched Ryan Fraser, Fraser Fyvie and Ryan Jack leave without hefty reimbursement in recent years, and now their star defender Scott McKenna is sought after.

Swansea are the latest club said to be coveting McKenna but, according to reports, the Dons want up to £10m for the Scotland international.

Elsewhere, Celtic are reportedly keen on a move for Uruguay playmaker Giorgian De Arrascaeta, who helped his country reach the quarter-finals at the World Cup.

The Scottish champions face competition from Newcastle for the Cruizero star, though, while the Brazilian outfit are currently demanding £18m for one of their star men.

Another player on Celtic's wish-list is John McGinn but to this point two bids for the Hibs talisman have been rebuffed.

The Hoops are now reportedly considering offering talented youngster Mikey Johnstone as a makeweight as they increase their efforts to bring McGinn to Glasgow.
