Real Madrid have confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo has agreed to join Juventus.

The five-time Ballon D'Or winner will bring a close to his ten-year stint at the Bernabeu by signing for the Italian champions.

Ronaldo, 33, will join Juventus in a club-record deal which eclipses the Turin outfit's £75.3m outlay to capture Gonzalo Higuain.

In a statement, Madrid said: "Today, Real Madrid wants to express its gratitude to a player who has proved to be the best in the world and who has marked one of the brightest times in the history of our club and world football.

"For Real Madrid Cristiano Ronaldo will always be one of his great symbols and a unique reference for the next generations. Real Madrid will always be your home."
