Bruno Alves is bound for the Ibrox exit and it seems Steven Gerrard hasn't taken long to identify a replacement.

According to reports, Rangers have targeted Millwall centre-half Jake Cooper to fill the void left by the veteran Portuguese defender's departure to Serie A outfit Parma.

The Light Blues have already bolstered their rearguard by signing Nikola Katic and Connor Goldson but are apparently willing to pay up to £1.5m to recruit ex-England youth international Cooper.

While Cooper could arrive in Govan, goalkeeper Wes Foderingham is reportedly set to leave Rangers.

The English stopper has apparently been told he's to be Gerrard's third-choice keeper going forward and that the club are willing to listen to offers for him.

Elsewhere, Premier League new boys Fulham are said to have joined the race to sign Celtic centre-half Dedryck Boyata.

The Belgium international has just 12 months left on his Parkhead deal and is reportedly the subject of notable interest from south of the border after impressing at the World Cup.
