Transfer Talk: Celtic McGinn bid, De Vries exit hint
Your daily round-up of what's happening across Scottish football and beyond.
It's been rumoured for almost as long as he's been playing professional football but Celtic have finally made a move to sign John McGinn.
The Scotland international has been linked with the champions repeatedly and now, with a year left on his contract at Hibernian, a bid has been made.
The Easter Road side have reportedly rejected it as it doesn't meet their valuation but nobody expects Brendan Rodgers' interest to end there.
It comes just hours after McGinn's midfield partner Dylan McGeouch signed for Sunderland, giving Neil Lennon a headache if McGinn does move.
One player who could be leaving Celtic as they try to bring the midfielder in is Dorus de Vries. The goalkeeper is likely to move looking for regular football.
And there was a flurry of activity in Edinburgh yesterday with Hibs landing Liverpool goalkeeper Adam Bogdan on loan, while Hearts reached agreement with Norwich for the return of Steven Naismith.
