Celtic goalkeeper Dorus de Vries has signed a new deal to remain at the club until the summer of 2019.

The 36-year-old has made just seven appearances for Brendan Rodgers' side since signing in August last year from Nottingham Forest.

He joined up with the manager again after previously working with him during their time at Swansea City.

De Vries made his debut in the 4-1 victory over Aberdeen last season and went on to feature another five times as the champions wrapped up the treble.

His only appearance during the current campaign has been the 1-0 league win over Dundee in October.
