Scotland candidate David Moyes named West Ham manager
The 54-year-old replaces Slaven Bilic, who was sacked following weekend defeat.
David Moyes has been appointed as the new manager of West Ham United.
The Scot replaces Slaven Bilic, who was sacked on Monday following a 4-1 defeat to Liverpool at the weekend.
Moyes, 54, had been heavily linked with the vacant Scotland job.
Instead, he has returned to club football despite poor spells with Manchester United, Real Sociedad and Sunderland.
Moyes said: "I'm really looking forward to meeting the supporters, being in the stadium with them. I'm looking forward to them getting right behind the team and my team also.
"We need their support, we need everybody with us."
