Robinson: Motherwell will bounce back after defeat
The manager says his side will return to what has earned them success this season.
Motherwell manager Stephen Robinson has backed his players to get back to their best after their defeat to Hibs last weekend.
The Steelmen travel to face Ross County having come back down to earth with a bump following four successive wins, including a League Cup semi-final victory against Rangers at Hampden.
Robinson said his side were not their usual selves against Hibernian but nobody needed to be told they have to return to what had brought them rewards.
"We didn't what we can do against Hibs and we lost the game," he said.
"We got away from what's made us successful and we'll get back to that on Saturday.
"There's no big inquest. We know that when we run further than people and we compete better than people and put balls into the box we're a decent side."
He added: "We maybe don't get the credit for the football we play at times, which is fine. As long as we're winning games I don't care.
"The boys are well aware of it. Whether it was the three games in a week, the emotion of Hampden as well, it takes its toll. We've only got a 21-man squad. We don't have loads of people.
"We'll be back at it on Saturday. We're confident."
An extra-time win over County in Dingwall was part of the road to Hampden and the manager said the positive feelings from that match could help send his players into Saturday's game in the right frame of mind.
"We got through [in the League Cup] up there in the last couple of minutes, winning in extra time," he said.
"They're good memories and sometimes when you go up to places it plays on players' minds. You've got happy memories.
"I remember when I played a long, long time ago, you always have favourite grounds and places you like going so apart from it being four hours away it's got good memories."
