Pedro Caixinha accepts one-match ban for misconduct
The Rangers manager will sit in the stand as his side take on Kilmarnock on Wednesday.
Pedro Caixinha will be watching from the stand as his side face Kilmarnock on Wednesday after accepting a ban for misconduct.
The Rangers manager was charged by the Scottish FA for his behaviour on the touchline in the League Cup semi-final.
Caixinha and counterpart Stephen Robinson were sent to the stand on Sunday during Motherwell's 2-0 win at Hampden.
The governing body's compliance officer served both with a notice of complaint for misconduct and offered Caixinha a one-game suspension from the technical area or the option to appear before a disciplinary panel to make his case.
The Rangers boss has opted to accept the offered ban and will sit out Wednesday's Premiership match at Ibrox.
Robinson was not give an offer of a ban because of his previous disciplinary record.
The Motherwell boss has previously been in front of the disciplinary panel at Hampden, receiving a one-game ban in 2015 and a three-game suspension in 2016.
A hearing has been set for November 9, potentially putting him at risk of missing the League Cup final against Celtic.
The Hampden showpiece event is on November 26 so if Robinson was found to have broken the rules, any ban of more than one match would keep him out of the dugout for the final.
