Pedro Caixinha has brushed off questions about his future as Rangers manager, saying he is a "fighter" and will keep working to bring success to Ibrox.

Defeat to Motherwell in the League Cup semi-final at Hampden has thrown the spotlight on to the Portuguese manager, who has failed to win three games in a row since taking over in March.

Asked, if that form continued, when he would he would start to question his own ability to deliver improvement, Caixinha suggested he needed more time to improve the squad.

"How many transfer windows have we used since we arrived here?" he asked.

"One. Do you think we have everything we want it to be, not only regarding the squad but in the whole structure of the club? You have your answer there."

The manager accepted he would be judged constantly while occupying the Ibrox hot seat but he would continue to work unless the club made the decision to end his tenure. He said it was not in his nature to quit.

"It's not a question of if I'm allowed or not, it's a question of convictions," he said.

"I have my convictions and I came here to do my job and we will see until when I can do it.

"I need to be judged all the time because this is what happens in a massive club like this."

He added: "I'm just doing my job. I will do my job on a daily basis if it's ten years' time, if it's one month's time, if it's one week.

"I can tell you that I'm not a survivor. Survivors go by the wind. I'm not a giver, I never give up. I'm a fighter."
