Rangers midfielder Carlos Pena will face no action after allegedly elbowing Hamilton's Greg Docherty in the win over Accies last Friday.

The Scottish FA compliance officer reviewed an off the ball incident between the pair but has opted not to send a notice of complaint, meaning the player will not face a disciplinary panel or potential ban.

Pedro Caixinha's men were 4-1 winners in the Scottish Premiership clash at New Douglas Park but Pena was booked for a separate incident.

He was shown a yellow card by referee Andrew Dallas earlier in the match for a late lunge on Accies' Dougie Imrie.

Ryan Jack did see red for Rangers after being shown two yellow cards in the match.

Declan John scored a double for Caixinha's side while Daniel Candeias and Graham Dorrans netted the other goals of the evening.

Danny Redmond had opened the scoring for the home side after just 57 seconds.
