Aberdeen midfielder Greg Tansey ruled out for four weeks
The 28-year-old will now miss Saturday's game against St Johnstone at Pittodrie.
Aberdeen midfielder Greg Tansey has been ruled out for up to four weeks after finally undergoing surgery.
The 28-year-old will now miss Saturday's home game against third placed St Johnstone.
The midfielder had been delaying the operation on his groin but is now facing time on the sidelines after complaining the problem was affecting his mobility against Motherwell last week.
Aberdeen, who are second, won 1-0 at Fir Park while opponents St Johnstone defeated Hamilton 2-1 in Perth.
Tansey signed for the Dons on a pre-contract deal from Inverness Caledonian Thistle earlier this year.
Craig Storie (hamstring) and Danny Harvie (knee) remain out but are working their way towards a return.
