Canning 'raging' as Accies blow lead at McDiarmid Park
Hamilton lost two second half goals to slip to their third consecutive defeat.
Hamilton Accies manager Martin Canning was left fuming after his side squandered a lead to lose 2-1 to St Johnstone in Perth.
The visitors had gone ahead through a 24th-minute Greg Docherty goal and had more chances to add to their lead.
However, St Johnstone turned things around after the break and after Steven MacLean had equalised in the 49th minute, Murray Davidson headed in a late winner.
Canning said he couldn't accept his players taking nothing from the match after being in a winning position.
"I'm raging, I've had to give myself 10 minutes to calm down," he said.
"That's not acceptable, to be as in control as we were and end up losing that game.
"It's really disappointing and it's something I thought we had learned from.
"In games like this, you've got to pick up points. Ultimately, you take your point and you move on.
"We probably would have thought we deserved the three, but to go and lose it again is really disappointing.
"That is the second week in a row. We probably should have beaten Hearts and were better than St Johnstone, but ultimately they are both sitting with three more points than us because we haven't taken the points."
