Rodgers: Morelos won't need any help from Celtic
The Celtic boss said his mind was on his own team and not provoking opposition.
Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has denied claims from Rangers counterpart Pedro Caixinha that his team will set out to provoke Alfredo Morelos when the teams meet on Saturday.
Caixinha said on Thursday that he "knew" that his leading scorer would be targeted by the opposition, admitting that the player had a fiery temperament and implying that Celtic would try to get Morelos sent off.
Rodgers said that from what he had seen of the striker, there was no need for any provocation from opposition players. He said that his team would just focus on their own game rather than needle others.
"It's not really something we concentrate on," the Celtic manager said. "I don't think he'll need any help in that from what I've seen watching the game the other night against Partick Thistle.
"We concentrate on ourselves. He's a young boy that's come into the country and he's started his campaign well.
"He's got some goals, he's only 20 and wants to score more goals. Sometimes when you're young you can get a wee bit fired up but we concentrate on our own work.
"We always respect the other team and their qualities but we focus on ourselves to get a good performance and result."
