Hibernian will face Sunderland in Lewis Stevenson's testimonial later this summer, the Easter Road side have announced.

A club legend before hitting 30, the defender is the only Hibernian player to lift both the Scottish Cup and League Cup.

He will be rewarded with a clash against the recently relegated Premier League side, who have been linked with a move for Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes.

Half the proceeds from the match on Sunday, July 9, will be shared by various charities including Cardiac Risk in the Young, as well as Leith Links.

While he made his debut back in 2005, Stevenson announced his arrival on the big stage with a man of the match display in the 2007 League Cup final demolition of Kilmarnock at Hampden.

The left-back was also part of the side which defeated Rangers in 2016 to end the club's 114-year wait to win the Scottish Cup.
