Dougie Imrie was left proud of his Hamilton Accies team mates for yet again proving people wrong and avoiding the drop, but fully expects to be tipped for relegation again next season.

The winger celebrated his side's 1-0 win over Dundee United to keep them in the Premiership for a fourth consecutive season.

He says they showed a lot of their doubters up and will try and do the same next season as well.

"You guys keep saying we're going to be relegated," he said at full time. "We keep proving people wrong year in, year out.

"I'm sure you will tip us for relegation again this year.

"I thought we were the better team over two games and deserved to stay in the Premiership.

"Commiserations to Dundee United, I thought they gave a good effort but over the piece and the opportunities created we had the better of them.

"The best team went through."
