Rogic: Scoring the winning goal was a dream come true
The Australian midfielder scored the winner in the Scottish cup final against Aberdeen.
Celtic midfielder Tom Rogic says scoring the winning goal that secured the treble for Celtic was a moment he could only have dreamt of, as the Australian's 90th-minute winner saw off Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup final at Hampden.
After a rather uncomfortable afternoon for the Hoops, which saw Johnny Hayes open the scoring after nine minutes at the national stadium, an equaliser soon after by Stuart Armstrong and then the winner by Rogic meant a dream end to the season for Celtic.
After already picking up the League Cup and the Premiership trophy, the Scottish Cup win secured Celtic's fourth club treble as well as becoming the first club to remain unbeaten throughout the entire domestic season.
Rogic admits when he saw his strike go past Joe Lewis in the Aberdeen goal and into the net, it was a surreal moment in his career.
He said: "It's hard to put into words I just picked up the ball rather quickly.
"I got the ball and just tried to be positive and the space opened up for me and it was a very special moment.
"It's not about me, but [the goal] was something you dream of.
"It's been a long season. To do what we have done in going unbeaten, winning the treble on the last day of the season in the last minute it was an unbelievable moment for everyone.
Rogic also heaped praise on the rest of his teammates for what as been a historic season for the men in hoops.
The midfielder admits the sheer scale of the achievements by the squad has not sunk in yet but says it is unlikely to be repeated in the future.
He said: "It certainly hasn't sunk in yet but I think when you look at it, we've gone unbeaten and win the treble this season, so it's probably never going to happen again so it is pretty cool indeed.
"I think that is the strength of our team I think everyone is there to pay their part and be happy to play their part.
"It's not about me or anyone else it's about the whole collective group, those who are on the bench, those who aren't in the squad so it's a very special moment for us all."
