Alan Archibald says Partick Thistle will not get away with making the same mistakes as they did the last time they faced Celtic, even though they went home with a point.

The Jags held the newly-crowned champions to a 1-1 draw just three days after they clinched the title at the start of April, with Ade Azeez cancelling out Scott Sinclair's strike.

But the Thistle boss says his side were lucky to still be in the game at the break and they cannot put themselves in that precarious position again.

They welcome Celtic to Firhill on Thursday evening for the penultimate game of the season and Archibald knows they can be lethal away from home.

"We need to do a lot of similar things we did at Parkhead," he said.

"We probably need eight or nine players to play at the top of their game and our goalkeeper to turn up and make saves which he has been doing in recent weeks.

"We need to tick all those boxes and have the belief and confidence to go and hurt them."

He added: "We showed that in the second half but we were lucky to be in the game at half-time. Celtic were very good in the first half and we got to half time at 0-0 which was great from our point of view.

"We then went and built on that but we won't get away with that on Thursday night.

"Especially away from home they can be very cutthroat, we saw that at Aberdeen on Friday night so we have to make sure we're ready for a rampant Celtic."
