Tom Rogic says he will not suffer burnout before the Champions League qualifiers despite not getting a summer break when the season ends.

The midfielder will have international duty with Australia as they prepare for, and then take part in, the Confederations Cup in Russia.

The competition starts on June 17 and ends on July 2, with Celtic's first European fixture scheduled for the week of June 27/28.

It means Rogic will not have any time off after the Scottish Cup final, the final match of the campaign, but he says having already missed 17 games when he was sidelined with an ankle injury between December and April means he does not need a break.

He said: "We have a busy schedule coming up. We have an important qualifier back home followed by a friendly and then off to Russia for the Confederations Cup.

"I've spoken to the sports science guys at the club and the manager. I've missed a little bit of the season already so I look at that as if I've had my rest, I've had my break.

"After the internationals it's about getting straight back in, ready to get into pre-season and the qualifiers."
