Christophe Berra may only have been a free agent for 24 hours or so but it looks like the Scotland defender will have his future sorted out in the next day or so.

After being released by Ipswich, Berra is said to be on the brink of agreeing a return to Hearts and will be part of Ian Cathro's rebuild at Tynecastle.

Berra isn't the only defender confirming his plans for next season with Emilio Izaguirre set to stay at Celtic after the club activated a contract extension.

In Inverness, if Richie Foran wasn't already feeling the pressure as his side face the drop, news that the club are lining up Paul Hartley to replace him will just pile it on.

And elsewhere, it's emerged Paul Pogba's transfer to Manchester United is under scrutiny with news that agent Mino Raiola could have pocketed up to 49 million euros by acting for United, Pogba and Juventus on the deal. Nice work if you can get it.
