Fyvie: Championship title gives us belief to beat Dons
The midfielder believes Hibs can reach their second Scottish Cup final in a row.
Hibs midfielder Fraser Fyvie believes last year's Scottish Cup win and the recent Championship title success have given Hibs the confidence to beat Aberdeen on Saturday.
The cup holders secured promotion to the Premiership last weekend after a victory over Queen of the South.
Fyvie says confidence is high as they gear up for the semi-final against his old club at Hampden.
He said: "The last three seasons have been tough but winning the Scottish Cup last year gave us the confidence that we can go on and win the league and now we have done that all focus goes to Saturday.
"There has been nervous moments when we have had a few draws here and there when we needed wins but we have done it now and we are delighted, now we are looking forward to the Scottish Cup game.
"I think now we can relax a little in terms of the league but we can go into the Aberdeen game full of confidence now.
"The Scottish Cup has been a confidence booster because the teams we have been coming up against have been Premiership opponents and we were able to go up against them and beat them.
Despite the rise in confidence of Neil Lennon's side, Fyvie admits he and his teammates will have a tough challenge on their hands when they take on the Dons on Saturday.
He said: "We are going up against a tough opponent but hopefully we can go and get a positive result at Hampden again.
"We go against a very strong Aberdeen side on Saturday and I am sure they will be looking to finish their season on a high but we want to do the same and hopefully we can go to Hampden and get a result.
"They are a very good solid unit with a lot of very creative players with McGinn, Hayes and Christie as well as Adam Rooney scoring a lot of goals.
"We will be right up for it, we will do our homework on them during the week and come Saturday we hope we can come away with a strong positive result."
