Motherwell have confirmed the signing of Everton goalkeeper Russell Griffiths as Dean Brill agreed to leave the club.

The moves complete a busy couple of days for manager Mark McGhee after winger Elliott Frear signed from Forest Green Rovers.

Brill has left the club in search of first team football having failed to dislodge current number one Craig Samson.

The former Inverness goalkeeper did not make an appearance in the league after joining in the summer.

His replacement, 20-year old Everton keeper Griffiths, has been with the English Premier League side since the age of 14 but has not made any first team appearances.

Griffiths has three caps for England's under-20 team.
