Andrew Davies signs new Ross County deal until 2019
League Cup winner has signed a two-year extension to stay in Dingwall.
Andrew Davies has signed a fresh deal with Ross County to keep him in Dingwall until 2019.
The defender lost the club captaincy last summer after expressing his desire to return to England for family reasons before changing his mind.
Now the 32-year-old has decided to remain with the Scottish Premiership side for a further two seasons.
Davies, who joined from Bradford in 2015, helped the Staggies win the League Cup by beating Hibernian 2-1 at Hampden.
Manager Jim McIntyre told the club's website: "We are delighted that Andrew has chosen to extend his stay at the club.
"Andrew's family are very settled and happy in the area now and it's a huge boost to have a player of Andrew's stature commit his future to the club for another two years.
"Since he has arrived in Dingwall, Andrew has been first class for the team and probably one of the best and most consistent centre halves in the division. He capped off an excellent campaign last season by lifting the League Cup and wants to help bring more success to the club going forward."
Davies has made 22 appearances for County this term, scoring one goal.
