Ian Cathro has continued his Hearts rebuild by signing Slovenia international Andraz Struna until the summer.

The 27-year-old right back becomes the new head coach's fourth signing of the January window following a flurry of transfer activity at Tynecastle.

Hearts have been on the hunt for cover in the position following Callum Paterson's season-ending injury in December.

Struna started his career in his homeland with Piran before spells in both Poland and Greece.

Earlier this week, Hearts announced the signing of French midfielder Malaury Martin.

Fellow defenders Aaron Hughes and Lennard Sowah joined the capital club earlier in the window following the departures of Igor Rossi and Alim Ozturk.
