Edinburgh top Challenge Cup group with win over Harlequins
The Scots lead Quins by a point although both are on course for the quarter-finals.
Edinburgh went top of European Challenge Cup Pool Five with a 23-18 win over Harlequins at the Twickenham Stoop.
Allan Dell's 53rd-minute try, converted by Duncan Weir, put the visitors 20-6 ahead and a subsequent Weir penalty meant two late tries by substitute Joe Gray only salvaged a losing bonus point for Quins.
Edinburgh had led 13-6 at the break thanks to Fraser McKenzie's try midway through the half, converted by Weir who like Harlequins' Tim Swiel landed two first-half penalties.
The Scottish side lead Quins by a point in Pool Five although both are on course for a quarter-final spot. In the same pool, the match between Timisoara Saracens and Stade Francais was postponed after freezing weather left parts of the Dan Paltinisanu stadium pitch unfit for play.
There was also an unfit pitch in the Pool One fixture between Benetton Treviso and Gloucester, but remarkably the match was switched to another ground with a delay of only a few hours.
Cold conditions made the Stadio Comunale di Monigo pitch unplayable but, rather than postpone the fixture, it was moved four kilometres to Treviso's training ground with kick-off at 5pm local time
