Freezing conditions have hit Saturday's Scottish football card, with four SPFL fixtures postponed due to frozen pitches.

The Scottish League One fixture between Brechin City and Gus MacPherson's Queen's Park side fell victim to the weather following a 10.30am pitch inspection at Glebe Park.

Livingston's home Scottish League One fixture against Albion Rovers was also called off after an 11am pitch inspection, with the referee deeming the surface at the Tony Macaroni Arena to be unplayable.

The Scottish League Two fixture between Clyde and Montrose was also postponed due to a frozen pitch at Broadwood, adding to the number of footballing casualties in the SPFL.

The match between Cowdenbeath and Edinburgh City in Scottish League Two was another to fail a pitch inspection.

However, the Tannadice playing surface passed a 11.45am pitch inspection meaning the Scottish Championship fixture between Dundee United and Queen of the South will go ahead.
