Aberdeen turn down Cardiff City offer for Jonny Hayes
Derek McInnes says Welsh club's bid fell 'way short' of Dons' valuation.
Aberdeen have rejected a bid from Cardiff City for attacker Jonny Hayes.
The Welsh side have long been linked with a move for Hayes, who has become an integral part of the Dons team under Derek McInnes.
Speaking to Aberdeen's in-house TV channel, McInnes reiterated his determination to keep hold of the player adding: "the bid fell way short of our valuation and that Jonny, as with all the squad, remains an integral part of the plans for the second half of the season."
Hayes' current contract at Pittodrie runs until the summer of 2018 with the club keen to hold talks over an extension.
Last season his form saw him earn his first cap for the Republic of Ireland.
