Rangers have announced the signing of Emerson Hyndman on a loan deal until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old arrives from Bournemouth and is Mark Warburton's first signing of the January transfer window.

Hyndman plays in central midfield but has found first team opportunities limited at the English Premier League side and has moved north in hope of regular football.

Regarded as one of the brightest young talents in the American game, Hyndman has two international caps to his name, also captaining the USA at the 2015 Under 20 World Cup.

Jon Toral is expected to arrive in Scotland on Tuesday to complete his loan move from Arsenal.
