Malky Mackay is believed to be on the verge of being appointed as the Scottish FA's new technical director but there may be something of a hitch.

Cardiff City have launched a claim of dishonest conspiracy regarding two transfers Mackay was involved in during his time as manager of the Welsh club. The damages they are pursuing amount to £10m.
