Greig Laidlaw declared himself "mostly happy" with Scotland's performances over the autumn series, completing their campaign with a 43-16 win over Georgia.

The Dark Blues were dominant for large spells of the match at Rugby Park and led 31-11 at the break thanks to tries from Tommy Seymour, Sean Maitland, Stuart Hogg and a penalty try.

Laidlaw kicked over 11 first half points and added a further two in the second half. The Scotland captain believes his side are now well-placed to compete in next year's Six Nations.

The Gloucester scrum-half said: "I'm mostly happy. If I'm being honest I'm still upset about the Australia game. We felt as a group that we were good enough to win that but let it slip away.

"But that game is gone and we will never get it back. We just need to prepare now for the Six Nations.

"When we do come back the training week will be so important.

"We trained so much better in the week leading up to the Australia game and it shone through in our performance.

"If we are going to come close again we need to train and prepare well for that game."
