
Scottish Cup ties postponed as freezing conditions hit
St Mirren, Albion Rovers, East Fife, Stranraer and Stirling have all had games postponed.
Nine Scottish Cup third round matches have fallen victim to freezing conditions across Scotland.
St Mirren's tie against Lowland League side Spartans was postponed due to a frozen pitch, with a pitch inspection took place on Friday at 12.30pm where the surface was deemed unplayable.
The Bellsdale Park pitch was also judged to be unplayable for the match between Beith Juniors and Greenock Morton, with Albion Rovers' home game against Queen of the South called off too.
Clyde's Scottish Cup game against Arbroath also fell victim to the weather, with Stirling Albion v Wick Academy also postponed on Friday.
Brechin City v Ayr United, East Fife v Edinburgh City, Formartine United v Annan Athletic and Stranraer v East Kilbride were called off after pitch inspections held on Saturday morning, bringing the total number of matches postponed up to nine.
