Mikael Lustig has played down his feud with Neymar during Celtic's 2-0 Champions League defeat to Barcelona.

The Sweden international and the Brazilian forward were booked after clashing in the second half of the game and had a frank exchange of views afterwards.

Lustig, 29, was on the receiving end of a crude late challenge from the attacker shortly after being spoken to by referee Daniele Orsato.

While complaining about his own caution, Lustig does not believe his opponent should have been sent off.

He said: "It was nothing special. We struggled a little bit. It would maybe be harsh to get a red card.

"When he kicked me and I reacted to that both of us got yellow cards."
