Moussa Dembele says Celtic deserved better in Germany
Striker scored from the spot as Scottish champions drew 1-1 with Borussia Monchengladbach.
Moussa Dembele believes Celtic deserved all three points in their Champions League clash with Borussia Monchengladbach.
The French striker scored from the penalty spot to give Brendan Rodgers' men a 1-1 draw in Germany, a result which keeps their hopes of European football into 2017 alive.
Callum McGregor missed a great late chance to give the Scottish champions all three points at Borussia Park and after losing to the same opponents last month, Dembele feels they should have emerged with their first victory in Group C.
He said: "I think we played much better football tonight, we believed in ourselves and we had a lot of chances.
"We deserved better in this game. We keep learning and hopefully in the next one we can get a result."
Celtic remain bottom of the group and face European giants Barcelona and Manchester City as they aim to extend their European adventure.
After missing a penalty in the group opener against Barcelona, Dembele remained calm to stroke the ball past Yann Sommer after being brought down by Julian Korb.
"We'll keep believing we can continue. We'll take it game-by-game and hopefully we can still be in Europe."
