Leigh Griffiths, Kolo Toure and Jozo Simunovic are all out of Celtic's clash with Borussia Monchengladbach.

Griffiths and Simunovic both missed training on Monday and were not part of the squad travelling to Germany.

Toure trained on his own at the club's Lennoxtown training base away from the rest of the squad.

Assistant manager Chris Davies said Griffiths' absence is down to illness while Croatian defender Simunovic is still working his way back to fitness after injury troubles in recent months.

A calf injury in September and Moussa Dembele's form has meant Scotland forward Griffiths has had to make do with a spot on the bench in recent weeks.

Griffiths started during last Wednesday's 4-0 win over Ross County but was an unused substitute during the weekend win over Aberdeen.

He missed Celtic's opening Champions League group match against Barcelona but has come off the bench in home games against Manchester City and Monchengladbach.

Eoghan O'Connell, who played in the qualifiers against Astana and Hapoel Be'er Sheva, has been included in the party.
