Individual errors causing late goals, says Alan Archibald
Partick Thistle have conceded late in three of their last four league games.
Alan Archibald says the reason his Partick Thistle side have been conceding so many late goals is down to individual errors.
The Jags have had their defence breached in the closing stages of three of their last four matches, ultimately dropping points to Ross County, Hamilton Accies and Motherwell.
They also lost a 93rd minute goal to Tony Watt to gift Hearts all three points at the end of August.
Archibald, who will take his side to Dens Park to face fellow strugglers Dundee on Wednesday, is not pulling individual players up for their mistakes, however.
He says it is something they have to address as a team and hopes they will iron it out before the midweek fixture.
If they stumble in Tayside it would be 10 consecutive games without a win and could allow Dundee to leapfrog them off the foot of the Scottish Premiership table.
"It's been individual errors - which has been frustrating," he told STV.
"On Saturday, we give Ross County a bit of credit, they pushed five or six bodies forward and started to cheat a little bit but I thought we dealt with that fine and it was just individual errors.
"The players know that. We don't annihilate them for it but they're well aware of it and they let themselves down."
He added: "We do it collectively as a group and it's been someone different every week that's maybe made an error for a late goal.
"We have to cut them out because our overall defensive shape on Saturday, and previous games except the Hamilton game, have been very good.
"We have to keep working hard as a group and be as positive as we can and hopefully we'll get it knitted together and we'll get that three points."
