Celtic attacker Scott Sinclair believes his career is back on track and paid tribute to Brendan Rodgers for helping to make it happen.

Sinclair has been influential in Celtic's fortunes this season since arriving at the club in the summer but was in danger of being left in the footballing wilderness after unsuccessful spells at Manchester City and Aston Villa.

Rekindling his working relationship with Rodgers has seen a transformation in his fortunes and he credits the manager for his turn around, saying he feels at home at Celtic Park.

"I'm enjoying my football," he said. "Playing every week under a manager who believes in you and you've played under numerous occasions before at Swansea and the Chelsea youth team gives you that confidence.

"When I was at Swansea I was enjoying it, scoring and it got me the move to City. I'm just happy and feel settled at home here."

It could get better for Sinclair who will have the chance to secure his first winner's medal in the Betfred Cup final against Aberdeen in November after the Hoops downed Rangers 1-0 at Hampden on Sunday.

He added: "It's great now we're in a final and hopefully we'll get some silverware before Christmas.

"It couldn't have gone any better so hopefully you'll be talking to me when we have a trophy."
