Can James Forrest's ruthlessness continue against Motherwell?
Thom Watt looks at the stats going into this weekend's Scottish Premiership games.
The domestic scene returns this weekend with Rangers kicking off the Scottish Premiership card with a Friday night visit to Inverness.
Celtic's James Forrest has started the season positively but can he keep up the ruthlessness he has displayed under Brendan Rodgers when Motherwell come calling?
Struggling Kilmarnock make the trip to St Johnstone where they will be looking to improve some of the stats they've wracked up so far this season and will there be a landmark red card this weekend? Thom Watt looks ahead...
It doesn't take a master statistician to tell you that things are not looking good for Kilmarnock. Second bottom, the worst goal difference in the league, the fewest shots in the division by a long way (45) and 12 goals conceded in the last three matches.
Only once in the history of the Premiership has a team averaged so few shots in any consecutive eight matches.
Killie are averaging just six per game, Motherwell managed 4.9 between November 2014 and January 2015. However, during that time Motherwell picked up ten points. Killie have just six.
Only four teams have a better conversion rate than Kilmarnock - Celtic, Inverness and Aberdeen - and while that would usually bode well, here it tends to point to the fact they're actually scoring at an above-average rate. Some of Souleymane Coulibaly's goals in recent weeks may explain that.
The problems are clearly at both ends of the pitch. This early in a season, points on the board can be a little deceptive, as a run of form or fortune can quickly move a team up or down a closely contested table.
Looking at the number of chances a team is creating and conceding can give a fairly good overview of how they've been performing, regardless of results.
At the end of last season, there were far more questions over James Forrest's future than there were definitive answers.
Years of inconsistency, injuries and playing on the periphery looked to have dampened his talents and at the age of 25 he could no longer be seen simply as one for the future.
Despite his relative youth, he's now in his eighth season as a first-team player at Celtic. Put that it into some perspective, Karamoko Dembele was only just primary school age when Forrest made his debut.
Brendan Rodgers appears to have focused the Scotland winger and he's on course for his most imposing season to date.
Only once in his career has he had a better goal return than the four league goals he's managed in just 461 minutes this campaign.
Forrest has always been accurate with his shooting but this term he has been far more ruthless with converting his chances.
We've had 149 red cards in the Scottish Premiership, from David van Zanten's first on the opening day of the 2013/14 season to Ian McShane's against Hearts on September 24 . Will this weekend feature the unlucky 150th?
What have they been for? Three cases of foul and abusive language, 41 for prevention of obvious goalscoring opportunities, 48 cases of violent conduct and 57 second bookings.
