Robert Snodgrass: Four points from six is minimum Scotland target
Fans' favourite is looking forward to his first Hampden appearance since November 2013.
Robert Snodgrass believes Scotland must take a minimum of four points from their World Cup qualifying double-header against Lithuania and Slovakia.
The Hull City attacker hit a hat-trick in the opening qualifier against Malta as a 5-1 win put the Scots top of Group F.
As Gordon Strachan's men prepare to welcome Lithuania to Hampden, Snodgrass feels one win and one draw is the least the team can afford before heading to take on England in November.
Asked if four points was the bare minimum required, Snodgrass said: "I think it is yeah.
"I think focusing on the two games we need to get off to a good start on Saturday. It'll be something different for us with a Saturday night game with a full crowd so we're looking forward to it.
"I think it'll be much like the Malta game and you need to be ruthless especially at home.
"We need to be patient in the game and be ruthless."
Since returning from a 15-month injury layoff, Snodgrass has become a Tartan Army fans' favourite due to his goals and influence on Strachan's side.
And the 29-year-old appreciates the support as he prepares to take to the Hampden turf for the first time since a friendly with the USA in November 2013.
He said: "It's special. To be honest it's a great feeling. Getting the chance to play for your country first and foremost but to be involved when you're doing well is great.
"It's a chance for me to show the Scottish crowd that I'm back."
