Craig Gordon described his Champions League debut as the loudest game he's ever played in, calling the experience "incredible".

Celtic held English giants Manchester City to an exciting 3-3 draw in front of a packed and euphoric Parkhead crowd.

It was Gordon's first appearance of the competition's group stages and he played a vital role in denying Pep Guardiola's side all three points inside stoppage time. His 91st minute block denied Raheem Sterling edging a winner from outside the box.

Moussa Dembele's third minute strike got the fiery tie off to an electric start before Kieran Tierney saw his deflected shot go in on his 50th appearance for the club. Dembele then put Celtic ahead for the third time in the second half.

Speaking at full time, Gordon admitted the end-to-end, pulsating match was an experience he'll never forget.

"It was incredible," he said. "The atmosphere was brilliant, definitely the loudest game I've ever played in.

"I was screaming as loud as I could at my centre halves who were 10 yards away from me and they couldn't hear what I was saying.

"It was a big night for me. When you're standing out there and that music comes on you know it's something special. For me to get my first taste of it here, at home and in front of that atmosphere, and those fans, was very special for me.

"There was a bit of pressure coming into the game with everything that's been said and gone on but I've just kept myself to myself, went away and trained as hard as I could."
