Ross County have announced the signing of winger Chris Burke on a contract until the end of the season.

Burke was a free agent after being released by Nottingham Forest during the summer.

The former Scotland international, who has seven caps,  returns to Scottish football after a seven year absence.  After making his breakthrough at Rangers and spending seven years in the first team squad at Ibrox, Burke move to Cardiff City.

The winger spent two years in Wales before a switch to Birmingham City where he had a largely successful three seasons before a switch to Forest in 2014.
