Hibernian striker Jason Cummings says they expect to win every game
The in-form forward has netted the monthly award for August and says club demand the best
Jason Cummings says he isn't surprised by Hibernian's perfect start to the Scottish Championship season, claiming the Easter Road side expect to win every game.
The striker picked up the Championship player of the month award for August after an impressive start to the campaign, while Neil Lennon received the manager's accolade as Hibs celebrated a monthly double.
Cummings was the subject of a £1.7 million bid from English League One side Peterborough United in the summer but the 20-year-old hasn't let the speculation unsettle him at Easter Road, netting seven times in five league games.
And his predatory instincts have helped fire the club to the summit of the Scottish Championship with five wins from five league games in their quest for promotion back to the top flight.
However. Cummings insists that's no less than what Lennon and the players expect.
"We've been doing that well and he's seen us playing and he knows what we are capable of. He doesn't want us to get too complacent," Cummings told STV.
"We should been winning every week with the team that we have here.
"We've got some unbelievable players that should be playing at a higher level. Every week we'll be wanting and demanding the three points."
He added: "We're going to give our best to win the league. Hopefully, we can go unbeaten as far as we can and win every game.
"But it isn't easy with the teams in the league. We went down there to Dumbarton and they made it hard for us. We're going to get that a lot this season."
