Jozo Simunovic says he's fully focused on proving his worth to Celtic after his deadline day move to Torino broke down.

The Croatian defender travelled to Italy to undergo fitness tests and finalise the transfer but the two clubs couldn't agree the terms of the contract.

The Scottish champions wanted the centre half, who has only featured 17 times since signing last summer, to depart on a permanent deal but Torino were looking to sign him on loan.

Simunovic hit back at claims he failed a medical and issued a statement thanking Celtic fans for their support.
