Dundee United defender Harry Souttar edges closer to Stoke switch
The two clubs have agreed a fee with Souttar poised to discuss move with Premier League side.
Dundee United have agreed a six-figure fee plus add ons with Stoke City for teenage defender Harry Souttar, STV understands.
The 17-year-old, brother of Hearts defender John, is highly rated by the Premier League outfit and is in discussions with the Potters over a move to the Bet365 stadium.
Souttar will travel to Stoke to finalise personal terms and put the finishing touches on the switch.
The Scotland youth international broke through to the United first team at the end of last season and has been seen as an exciting prospect in Ray McKinnon's side, who are looking for a swift return to the Scottish Premiership.
Souttar has made one appearance this season in the Betfred Cup against Arbroath and has been on the bench for recent matches. He will join fellow Scots Charlie Adam and Phil Bardsley at Stoke.
