Hearts' Jamie Walker offered two-game ban for 'dive' against Celtic
Winger has been cited by the Scottish FA after winning penalty at Tynecastle.
Hearts winger Jamie Walker has been offered a two-game ban for diving to win a penalty in his team's opening day defeat to Celtic.
The winger went down minutes before the interval, claiming he'd been fouled by Kieran Tierney with referee John Beaton pointing to the spot.
Scottish FA compliance officer Tony McGlennan has cited the attacker for causing "a match official to make an incorrect decision".
Walker has until 3pm on August 10 to respond to the charge and STV understands the capital club will take the matter to a hearing set for Thursday, August 11.
Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers revealed the official admitted he had made a mistake while captain Scott Brown labelled Walker "a cheat" and insisted he should compete in the Olympic diving competition.
"It is brilliant how well he dives," he said. "He is really good at that. He should have been in Rio.
"It was a dive. Cheat. What else can you say?
"The referee came out at half-time and said he got it completely wrong. He made the decision, he hasn't seen it and the linesman's not puts his flag up."
After the match, Walker said: "I knocked the ball on and I've seen him (Tierney) coming out the corner of my eye and felt contact so I went down.
"At the end of the day I am not the referee, I don't give the decisions."
