Celtic's Scott Allan close to completing loan move to Rotherham
Allan is expected to be reunited with former manager Alan Stubbs at the New York Stadium
Celtic midfielder Scott Allan is expected to complete a loan move to Rotherham United after a deal was agreed between the clubs.
The move would reunite Allan with manager Alan Stubbs, who he played under at Hibernian.
Competition for places at Celtic is high and the move would bring regular first team football for the 24-year-old, who made just two starts for his club last season.
Allan was a leading player under Stubbs at Hibernian and his performance caught the eye of Rangers, who were unsuccessful in attempts to sign him before Celtic snapped him up last summer.
However, with new Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers having admitted his squad is too big, Allan will be allowed to move in order to develop.
