The draw has been made for the last 16 stage of the Betfred Cup, and will bring with it some potentially thrilling clashes.

The matches will take place on Tuesday 9 and Wednesday 10 of August.

Rangers topped group F with four wins from four matches and will turn their attentions to Peterhead in a repeat of last year's challenge cup final in the next stage.

The four European representatives will all make their bow in the second stage of the competition.

Brendan Rodgers' Celtic draw Motherwell, while Hibernian will face Queen of the South. Seeded Hearts have an away tie against St Johnstone, and Aberdeen follow suit, with an away fixture against Ayr United.

Dundee United, who saw off Championship counterparts Dunfermline with a 2-0 home win, will square up against Partick Thistle in the next round.
