Aberdeen seal loan deal for Wes Burns ahead of Europa League tie
Bristol City attacker will go straight into the squad for the clash against FK Ventspils.
Aberdeen have completed the signing of Wes Burns ahead of their Europa League tie against FK Ventspils.
The attacker, who worked with Dons boss Derek McInnes at Bristol City, has signed a season-long loan deal at Pittodrie.
The deadline for transfers ahead of the second round of Europa League qualifying was last week but clubs are allowed to add one additional player up to midnight before the match and the Dons have used this to register Burns for Thursday's game.
Boss McInnes told the club's website: "I am delighted to get him. Wes is a fantastic young talent who can play right across the front line. He has got a brilliant attitude and plenty of motivation to do well with us.
"I would like to thank Bristol City and Lee Johnson for their help in making the deal happen as Wes had plenty of options."
Burns was included in Wales' preliminary Euro 2016 squad but missed the final cut for the tournament.
