Andy Murray 'unlikely' to feature in Davis Cup tie against Serbia
Wimbledon champion will still travel to support Leon Smith and the rest of the squad.
Andy Murray says he's "unlikely" to play in Great Britain's Davis Cup quarter-final against Serbia this week after winning the Wimbledon title.
The Dunblane ace was named in Leon Smith's team for the tie but the 29-year-old always said he would make a final call at the end of The Championships at the All-England Club.
Murray's schedule includes the Rio Olympics as well as the US Open and with Novak Djokovic and Viktor Troicki sitting out for Serbia, the world number two is set to follow suit.
Murray said: "I spoke to (GB captain) Leon (Smith) last night at the ball briefly. I'm genuinely calling him after here. I'd say it's looking unlikely but, even if I don't play, I'm still probably going to go anyway just to be there with the team.
"Leon was flying this morning and I'll chat to him this afternoon to make a final decision."
While Smith's focus is on helping Britain retain their Davis Cup title, Murray was able to relax and enjoy Wimbledon's Champions Dinner on Sunday night.
Tradition dictates the men's singles champion dances with the women's winner with Serena Williams lifting the crown.
He added: "It was good. I had a great night. I just spent time with my friends and my family and then we'll go out for dinner tonight as well."
