Andy Murray secured his place in the 2016 Wimbledon final after a straight sets win over Tomas Berdych.

The Scot earned his spot in his third final in SW19 after defeating the Czech star 6-3, 6-3, 6-3 on Centre Court.

Dunblane ace Murray will now take on Milos Raonic in Sunday's final after the Canadian beat Roger Federer in a five-set thriller.

It is the first time the 29-year-old will not face either Roger Federer or Novak Djokovic in a Grand Slam final as he bids to repeat his 2013 triumph in London.

Murray was in confident mood having beaten Berdych in their last four meetings and he started strongly by breaking serve for an early 2-0 lead. After some short-lived resistance he closed out the set in 36 minutes.

The second set was a tighter affair with Murray forced to fend off some fierce resistance before claiming a crucial break to move 4-3 ahead. It was plain sailing from there as the Scot moved to within a set of victory.

Berdych refused to give in easily, with the home favourite forced to display his full range of defensive skills at the start of the third.

And just as it had in the previous two sets, it was Murray who made the breakthrough to break for 3-1 to leave his opponent demoralised. A beautiful lob saw Murray move further ahead and it was all over soon after.

His place in his 11th Grand Slam final was secured in style with a powerful forehand which Berdych could not return.

Murray's clash with Raonic is a rematch of the Queen's Club final last month, when the Scot came through in three sets.
